The region of Apokoronas, where the villa is situated, is about 25km east of Chania town, in NW Crete. The area is known equally for its pretty traditional villages and verdant landscapes as it is for the recent introduction of eco-tourism. The property is located between the colourful villages of Gavalohori and Vamos, both an excellent example of this, with carefully restored houses, narrow streets and traditional shops and eateries, capturing flavours of the past combined successfully with every day life.

The area also offers a variety of options for walkers, bird watchers and cyclists. The villa is less than ten minutes by car from the sea at Kalives and Almyrida, both of which offer beautiful sandy beaches and water sports as well as the convenience of most facilities you might need during your stay. An organized Health Center is found at 1.5km from the villa.

The nearest airport that serves the area is Souda (code CHQ), located 28km away from our traditional villa in Crete. There are several daily flights from Athens as well as plenty direct charter flights from Europe's major airports. Heraklion airport (code HER), with a larger network of direct charter flights, is at 135km away, an approximate 2 hours drive.
